Travel policy for independent activities off-campus

LAST UPDATED: December 1, 2022

At this time, fully vaccinated* students may participate in in-person, off-campus activities such as Epic Advantage-funded activities and community engagement in the following locations:

  • in the United States
  • in a student’s home country other than the US
  • in countries with a current State Department Travel Advisory level of 1 or 2
  • on a per-student petition basis (i.e., not guaranteed), in countries with a Travel Advisory level of 3

Countries (other than the US or a student’s home country) with a Travel Advisory level of 4 are not eligible for in-person activities.

In addition, all students may still participate in fully virtual activities, regardless of vaccination status.

*Fully vaccinated means that students have received either two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, plus any boosters for which they are due based on their original date(s) of vaccination and current CDC recommendations.
