Support for reading and writing skills for English Language Learners is built into specific sections of the required first-year writing courses: Earlham Seminar I and Earlham Seminar II. These sections are taught by our English language instructors and provide additional emphasis on the writing process in academic English. These courses are meant to support English Language Learners in improving and polishing their current writing skills and to assist learners who have not had extensive writing experience prior to enrolling at Earlham.
