Pre-Athletic Training

Athletic training students are educated to provide comprehensive patient care in five domains of clinical practice: prevention; clinical evaluation and diagnosis; immediate and emergency care; treatment and rehabilitation; and organization and professional health and well-being.

Athletic Trainers can be found in a variety of settings, most commonly at colleges and universities, public and private secondary schools, and, professional and Olympic sports. In addition, AT’s can work in independently owned youth sports facilities, hospitals and clinics, and some branches of the military and performing arts spaces.
