    • The Virtual Shadowing course is a series of 5 classes in which students will watch over the shoulder of one of our physicians, nurse practitioners, or PAs as s/he goes bedside in the ED to assess and diagnose a simulated patient.  The video is followed-up by a series of questions posed to the student and then a summary by the physician.  A short quiz on the topic addressed finalizes each class.  The first of the “e-shadowing” sessions are up and ready for student learning.   The virtual shadowing videos are free and if so desired, after successfully completing all five, students can apply for a Certificate of Completion from the University of Colorado School of Medicine for a $50 fee (covering our costs of producing the videos).  Those interested in viewing the first video series please email Bre McKercher at Breanna.McKercher@cuanschutz.edu for a link.
  • Virtual Shadowing: Eastern Illinois University – www.prehealthshadowing.com
    • Each week, we will spotlight different health professionals. Typically, we would hold a presentation for the first half, then a Q&A where students will get to ask questions via the chat during the second half. Presentations will include why they decided to go into health, basic knowledge in the field, their education, activities, career path, admissions process, advice, a glance into their day on the job, and more! This program is open to all types of pre-health students– MD, DO, RN, PT, PA, MSc, DDS, DC, NMD, DS, DCM, etc. At the end of the session, there will be a small assessment that, if passed, students can receive a certificate verifying their participation in our program
  • eShadowing: Weekly sessions with attending physicians Mondays at 8pm ET. The first guest is booked for 9/28. Sign-up at eShadowing.com. Fees may apply.
